Buy This Ferrari FF V12 Engine, Use It To Power Your Weekend Car

Are you sitting in your garage right now looking at an empty engine bay and dreaming about a rare V12 that could just fit in there? Well, you’re in luck, because a Ferrari unit will be hitting the auction block soon.

Advertised by RMSothebys for their auction that will take place on February 5 in Paris, France, the mill is believed to have come from an early FF prototype. It’s said to have been driven for approximately 12,000 km (7,456 miles), and is fully functioning.

This makes it “ideal for use in a project or as a replacement unit”, according to the auction house. Given that it comes with a stand, it can also be displayed just about anywhere in the house, something that will surely impress your friends. And since it’s not every day that one comes across such an engine, it will probably fetch some big bucks, although no estimated sum was made public.

In the Ferrari FF, the 6.3-liter V12 engine makes 660 PS (651 hp / 486 kW) and 683 Nm (504 lb-ft) of torque. It can rev up to 8,000 rpm, has a compression ratio of 12.3:1 and rockets the GTC4Lusso’s predecessor to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds and 200 km/h (0-124 mph) in 11 seconds before topping out at 335 km/h (208 mph).
