Indore: Central Board of Secondary Education has made certain changes in class XII board examinations.
According to information, informatics practises (IP) and computer science (CS) examinations have been re-scheduled from March 28 to April 2, 2019.
Similarly, philosophy, entrepreneurship, human rights and gender studies, theatre studies, library and info services examination that were to be conducted on April 2 will now be held on April 4. The change was announced in a circular signed by controller of examinations Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj.
“This will give students gap of two days for preparing IP and CS, unlike the previous schedule where commerce students had to attempt the paper right after economics exam on March 27,” head faculty of commerce Sanjay Bajaj said. He said break was needed considering the preparation needed to score well in IP.
Most students are happy with the change as it would give them time to prepare. “During examination, we are stressed. So, normally, I take a break on the day of examination,” student Rishab Jain said. He was worried about IP examination as he would only get half the day to prepare for economics examination. “I am glad CBSE revised dates,” Jain added. Increasing two-day break to four days was accepted by humanities students. “It would just extend our examination schedule, but it is okay, it is not worth getting stressed about,” student Astha Kapoor said.
