Only Congress can defeat BJP, says Ghulam Nabi Azad

Congress general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad (TOI photo)LUCKNOW: Congress general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad, while announcing the party's decision to contest on all 80 seats in UP in the 2019 polls, took on Mayawati on Saturday for comparing his party with BJP.
Joined by the party's Uttar Pradesh unit chief Raj Babbar and national general secretary P L Punia, Azad said, "Those who say there is no difference between Congress and BJP must remember that Congress under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar Patel has been the driving force behind free India." He also listed the achievements of Congress over seven decades.
"The country, which evolved from a developing to an aspiring super power, is being fragmented by BJP and RSS. And Congress is the only party that can defeat BJP and end Modi-raj," Azad said.
