HYDERABAD: When Kushaiguda police nabbed one Syed Siraj Hussain, 32, in a cheating case related to sale of hired vehicles, they thought they had arrested a man. But much to their shock, while preparing the case diary Siraj revealed he is actually a woman. On January 5, Kushaiguda police decided to refer Siraj to Forensic Science Department to ascertain his gender. During interrogation, Siraj voluntarily disclosed he was born a female and underwent a gender change operation three years ago in Mumbai, for which treatment is going on, Kushaiguda police told FSD. The accused Siraj alias Shabeena was arrested on January 3 along with another person. The report of forensic examiners is awaited.
