How Dream Of Technology Replacing Humans In Schools Is Coming True In Near Future
Smart classroom products designed to empower the students & teachers are providing accessibility to knowledge resources along with ease of interaction
Education Technology is continuously growing with the range of offerings starting from projectors, smart / digital boards/ digital teaching devices embedded with all the necessary software’s like interactive teaching tools educational content to use of Artificial Intelligence & other technologies enhancing the interaction & resources between teachers & students. The various aspects of technology have become a mandatory part of the educational journey of the students & teachers along with impacting the parents & management as well. The transition from a normal chalk duster environment to a technology loaded classroom has been gradual yet motivational in Indian classrooms. Nowadays the need of technology is motivating and inspiring the teacher’s which in turn is engaging and interactive for the learners.
For instance the smart classroom products designed to empower the students & teachers are providing accessibility to knowledge resources along with ease of interaction. On the other hand the advancement in technology has made it possible to open avenues of online learning and teaching platforms. One such technology of Virtual classroom has made the dream of accessible education possible regardless of remotest locations & removing the need of any infrastructural arrangement. Students can join the classroom sitting at any place wherein teachers can teach, share course materials & take tests from a single point.
One of the many aspects of technology has changed the modus operandi of school management too. For instance the management has been largely automated via different software’s like ERP/Institute management System which allows the tailor made facilities to track the account of individual student taking care of fee structure, generate invoices, taking into account the different situations that might come on a student to student basis. Using a school management software reduces the amount of human effort to be put in, in addition to reducing the human rate of error.
Education content and digital subject labs is greatly enhancing teaching methodologies by making existing content more dynamic or helping teachers create fresher content that was previously out of their reach due to budgetary and technological constraints. These labs greatly provide individual and group learning opportunities.
In the coming future we might see a considerable involvement of Virtual reality & Augmented Reality in streamlining the education scenario via offering greater tools & supports. Intelligent devices will play a major role in providing customized relevant knowledge to learners. They can offer new & engaging ways to impart concepts in students helping teachers a great deal in future.
So, Instead of debating whether technology has reached a point where it can replace human teachers, we must ponder over what aspects of their responsibility technology can handle to enable our nation builders make delivery of knowledge more innovative, interesting and engaging. Technology can never replace a teacher completely. A teacher is responsible for shaping up country’s future & nurtures them carefully. They advocate a student’s concerns and counsel them for every query coming up in their growing mind early on. Students & parents place their trust in teachers to push students to do their best in their related fields. Technology can never involve emotionally in a student’s growth. So, it’s better to focus on placing technology as an aid which could fuel them in these efforts. In nut shell Technology must be built to enable teachers, not replace them.
