Indore : Days after their exam results were announced by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), BA-LLB eight semester students of Government Law College on Friday created ruckus at the institute campus claiming that they were handed out lesser marks in internal exams.
“Initially, our marks were impressive but later on the college changed the scores and handed out lesser marks to us,” the protesting students said. Asked how can they claim that they were awarded higher marks, the students revealed that they were sent score sheet on their WhatsApp accounts before it was submitted to DAVV.
“A teacher gave the score sheet to a student and asked him to send screenshot of it to his classmates using WhatsApp. Later, the score sheet was submitted in the DAVV. Lately, our results were announced by DAVV in which we saw that our marks were different from the score sheet sent to us,” the students said.
They claimed that they were earlier granted 15 to 18 marks in a subject out of 20, which were later reduced to 8 and 10.
The students alleged that the college management reduced their marks as they did not grease their palms. The irked students misbehaved with teachers and even put lock on the main gate of the college. The college then called in police to control the situation.
