Two cousins killed in road accident
TNN | Jan 13, 2019, 04:00 ISTVadodara: Two cousin brothers from Anand district died in a road accident in Savli taluka in the early hours of Saturday.
Mahendrasinh Chavda (30) and his cousin Jagdishsinh Chavda (42) used to commute between Umreth and Vadodara for their jobs. While Mahendrasinh was working in a company in Makarpura, Jagdishsinh used to work at Manjusar.
On Saturday morning the duo left from their houses as per their daily routine. However, while they were passing by Jabapura village on Savli-Poicha Road, a multi-utility vehicle (MUV) coming from opposite direction collided with the duo’s bike.
Locals said that Mahendrasinh who was riding the bike, died on the spot due to severe multiple injuries. Jagdishsinh, who was riding pillion, was alive but unconscious. Villagers rushed him to government health centre in Savli in ambulance, but he was declared dead before admission.
Mahendrasinh’s father Girish registered the police complaint against the MUV car’s driver who fled from the spot after the accident.tnn
