For the ongoing metro rail project, two of the busiest roads in Ahmedabad will remain closed from January 15 to February 15, the Ahmedabad Traffic police said on Friday. As per a notification issued by the traffic police, commuters using Vijay crossroads will face problems as there is a barricade in the middle of the road near Passport Seva Kendra till Havmor ice-cream parlour on the road going towards Commerce six roads.
The first alternative for drivers to take route from Dada Saheb Pagla crossroads to Navrangpura Fire Station as well as continue towards Commerce six roads, by turning let at Vijay crossroads, make a U-turn at Saurabh crossroads and reach Vijay crossroads again. You can either turn left to go to Navrangpura Fire Station or go straight to Commerce six roads.
The second alternative, if you are coming from Saurabh crossroads or Navrangpura Fire Station, you can go till Dawat- E-Khas restaurant, make a U-turn, reach Vijay crossroads and either turn left for Dada Saheb Pagla road or go straight to Helmet crossroads.
