Bhopal: Gwalior’s Avinash Yadav clinched a gold medal in 10 meter air rifle event at ongoing Khelo India Youth Games on Friday. Avinash scored 250.9 points in U17 boy’s category and brought glories to the state. Shooters of Rajasthan secured second and third position. In 50kg category of U21 wrestling championship, Chhindwara’s Shivani Pawar defeated Maharashtra’s Swati in semi-finals and won a silver medal after losing to a Haryana’s wrestler. MP Sports and Youth welfare minister, Jeetu Patwari congratulated the athletes for making state proud.
