Bhopal: Two matches were played in Lt Ratanlal Chaudhary Memorial 10th T20 Cricket Tournament at local Bab-e-Ali stadium on Friday. The tournament is organised under the aegis of Challenger Sports and Cultural Society. The first match was played between MMG-11 and Alisha Enterprises. MMG-11 won the toss and elected to bat first.
In given 20 overs, MMG-11 gave a target of 156 runs. Deepak of MMG gave a contribution of 95 runs to the team’s score. Vishal and Ashvini of Alisha Enterprises both clinched 2 wickets each. Alisha Enterprises team chased the given target in given 18.1 overs at a loss of 5 wickets and won the match by 5 wickets. Akash and Rafi scored 50 and 31 runs respectively. Akash of Alisha Enterprises was given man of the match for his all round performance.
The second match of the day was played between Women and Child Development Department (WCD) vs Barkatullah University (BU). BU won the toss, elected to bat first and got all-out at 102 runs. Ashu scored 30 runs and Virendra gave a contribution of 29 runs to the team’s score. Sameer and Naved both clinched three wickets each. Women and Child Development Department team chased the given target in 17.1 overs and won the match. Naved of the department was given man of the match for his excellent bowling skills. Chief Guest of the prize distribution ceremony was senior cricketer Iqbal Siddiqui.
