1.5 lakh jobs will be created at village level through secretariats, says Jagan

YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy received a rousing reception at Kukkaladoddi village on Chittoor-Kadapa border, when his entourage entered Kadapa district on Friday, from Tirumala. Hundreds of party cadres lined up the Tirupati-Kadapa highway to greet Mr. Jagan at several villages. At Railway Kodur town, a group of students of YSR Horticulture University met Mr Jagan Reddy, and expressed their anguish at the State government's inordinate delay in filling the vacancies in the Horticulture Department and in the varsity as well. The YSRCP chief, giving a patient hearing, assured them that the horticulture students would be given jobs at the village secretariats as and when the party would form the government ‘in the coming four months.’ He said that as many as 1.5 lakh jobs would be created at the village level through secretariats, giving preference not only to horticulture but also to the veterinary and agriculture students. “You have to just wait for another four months till the TDP government would end, and each one has to break two coconuts and pray God for this to happen,” he said.

Special prayers

Later, Mr. Jagan, visiting the home district after a gap of 14 months, visited the Ameen Peer dargah at Kadapa, and offered special prayers guided by Hazaraths, after performing the chadar ritual.
