Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya is making heading for his controversial comments on women on Karan Johar’s talk show ‘Koffee With Karan’. Now, amid the controversy, Hardik’s father Himanshu Pandya has reacted to the fiasco. Hardik’s father while speaking to Mid-Day said, people should not hype the matter as what his son has said is only for entertainment and the comments were made on a lighter note.
“I don’t think people should read too much into his comments. It was an entertainment show and his comments were made in a light-hearted manner. He was only looking to entertain the audience. So, it [his comments] should not be viewed very seriously or negatively. He is an innocent boy with a very fun-loving nature,” Pandya’s father was quoted as saying in Mid-Day.
Meanwhile, Pandya even issued an apology over the matter but it was too late by then as BCCI issued a show-cause notice to both, Hardik and KL Rahul. As per the latest reports, Pandya has been ruled out of 1st ODI against Australia and CoA member Diana Edulji has demanded ‘suspension till further action’ against both players.
