Store all the things with this massive 4TB WD hard drive for $85

Every PC can benefit from more storage, and if you need a spacious drive to stash a slew of bulk files, we’ve got a deal for you. Newegg is selling a WD Blue 4TB 3.5-inch desktop internal hard drive for $85 with the checkout code EMCTUUU24. This hard drive—and most others with this much capacity—usually costs around $100, so you’re saving $15.

But while this drive offers abundant capacity, it’s probably not an ideal option for your primary storage, as it’s only spinning at 5,400rpm. While that’s been the standard speeds for laptop drives for years, it’s pathetically slow compared to what SSDs or even 7,200rpm hard drives can do.

Still, for files that take a lot of space but don’t require the fastest speeds (such as backups or a large photo or media collection), this is a very attractive and very affordable option.

WD added a few extra utilities to this drive, including IntelliSeek, which figures out the best spinning speeds to keep power consumption, noise, and vibration low. There’s also Data LifeGuard that monitors the health of your drive. The WD Blue drive comes with a two-year warranty.
