Wealthy South Africans splurged on supercars in December 2018 car sales data shows.
The highlights are from Bentley, which sold five Continental GTs, Ferrari sold two of its outrageous 488 Pista models and Audi's perennial all-wheel drive R8 found 10 new homes in December.
The Audi is priced from R3.2-million, the 488 Pista has a "POA sticker" on it and so does the Continental GT.
AFP reported that luxury automaker Rolls-Royce sold a record-high number of its luxury vehicles in 2018, with purchases soaring worldwide.
Sales jumped more than 22% compared with 2017, when 3 362 Rolls-Royces were bought.
