Ujjain: Three miscreant who looted citizens in Freeganj and Fazalpura area were arrested by police on Wednesday night.
Police said the three miscreants targeted, stopped and looted Rs 3200 cash on knife point from 21-year-old Akash son of Manoj Rathore while he was going to purchase medicines, on his two-wheeler.
On being informed Madhav Nagar police reached the spot but the looters managed to give them a slip as they decamped on an auto rickshaw. The same miscreants targeted a pedestrian Rohit son Raju Bairagi resident of Bajarang Nagar and snatched Rs 800 and cell phone from him on knife point in Fazalpura area.
However, on this occasion before miscreants could target any other person; Kotwali police captured them at Biyabani area.
According to police Bhola alias Imran resident of Fazalpura, Jai son Jagdish and Nitesh resident of Kshirsagar area were looting the innocents under the influence of alcohol. The trio were paraded by the police in the market and produced in the court on Thursday.
