Manchester United are set to welcome back Paul Pogba for this weekend’s Premier League trip to Tottenham.

The Frenchman missed last weekend’s FA Cup win over Reading because of a knock to the back of his right leg but United interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes the midfielder is ready to return at Wembley on Sunday.

The World Cup winner belatedly joined the club’s warm weather training camp in Dubai, which Solskjaer claimed was a successful trip on his return to Manchester.

“It was very good,” said Solskjaer. “We had four good days of training. I think the boys enjoyed it, we put a few principles down and I know they worked hard and I think they enjoy working hard as well. It looked like it.”

Marcos Rojo has returned to his native Argentina as his injury is taking longer to heal than anticipated, while Chris Smalling (foot) is a doubt and Eric Bailly completes a three-match suspension.

Provisional squad: De Gea, Romero, Grant, Dalot, Darmian, Valencia, Shaw, Young, Jones, Lindelof, Smalling, Fred, Gomes, Matic, Pereira, Herrera, McTominay, Pogba, Lingard, Fellaini, Mata, Rashford, Martial, Lukaku, Sanchez.
