PDA, BSP hold talks for seat sharing

JALANDHAR: A meeting between the Punjab Democratic Alliance (PDA) and BSP leaders was held here on Thursday evening to discuss the seat sharing arrangement in the ensuing parliamentary elections.


In the meeting, BSP state affairs in charge Megh Raj and state president Rashpal Singh Raju were present, while from PDA Punjabi Ekta Party president Sukhpal Khaira, LIP leader Simarjeet Bains and a representative of Patiala MP Dharamvira Gandhi were present.


It is learnt that while both the sides were ready for the alliance but the seat sharing formula was yet to be worked out. It is learnt that they also discussed opening talks with SAD (Taksali) leaders and to expand base of the alliance.
