All four accused convicted by Panchkula court today in journalist murder case on GurmeetRamRahim by Panchkula Court in the verdict.

The quantum of sentence will be declared on January 7 by the court. Dera chief convicted under section 302 and 120B IPC for murder of journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati.

The four accused are Krishan Lal, Nirmal singh, Kuldeep and Ram Rahim. All three co-accused sent to Ambala jail.

Case History:

In 2002, a journalist, Ramchandra Chhatrapati, was shot — and later succumbed to his injuries — after his newspaper, Poora Sach, published an anonymous letter about the sexual exploitation of women by Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh at the Dera Sacha Sauda headquarters.

The case was registered in 2003. It was handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in 2006. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was named as the main conspirator in the case.
