Of Course, The Urus Elevated Lamborghini Sales To New Records Last Year

Last year was a great one for Lamborghini, which managed to deliver an impressive 5,750 vehicles worldwide.

The 51 percent in 2018 increase compared to 2017, and the launch of the Urus last July definitely played a significant role, with 1,761 examples shipped to customers all over the globe.

Sales of the Huracan and Aventador also grew as well. The V10-powered model saw a 5 percent jump, to 2,780, and the V12 supercar sold 1,209 units, up 3 percent.

With 157 official dealers globally, which serve 50 countries, the Raging Bull’s largest market in 2018 was U.S.A. The land of the free accounted for 1,595 deliveries, which represent more than one third of all Lamborghinis sold last year.

In the United Kingdom and Japan, Lamborghini sold 636 and 559 units last year, followed by Germany, Greater China, Canada and Italy, with 463, 342, 316 and 295, respectively. The Italian exotic car manufacturer says that “all these markets increased their deliveries substantially, and marked national historic sales levels”.

Lambo’s year started in January, with the display of the Terzo Millennio in Paris. Two months later, they revealed the Huracan Performante Spyder to the Geneva Motor Show, and in August, the current Nurburgring record-holder, the Aventador SVJ.

2018 also marked the presentations of the SC18 Alston, Huracan GT3 Evo and Urus ST-X Concept, and saw more than half of all sold cars personalized via the Ad Personam program.

Moreover, Polo Storico celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Espada and Islero with several events, and even their Museum registered “an excellent year”, with over 108,000 visitors.
