A sex tape reportedly involving footy star Dylan Napa has plunged the NRL into another crisis.

In the video, the man who appears to be the Canterbury Bulldogs star can be heard telling a woman to call him 'Big Papa' and 'Big Papi'.

A third person in the room filmed a video of the encounter which has been shared widely on social media.

The NRL is aware of the video and will be investigating, a spokesman told Daily Mail Australia.

In a statement, the Bulldogs club said they were aware of 'alleged images surfacing on social media of a current player taken several years ago'.

'The club has informed the NRL Integrity Unit of the matter. The club is not in a position to comment further at this time,' the statement reads.

Napa, 26, signed with the Bulldogs after winning the premiership with the Sydney Roosters last season.

He was pictured still in his full playing kit the morning after his team's Grand Final victory over the Melbourne Storm.

Napa has represented Queensland in State of Origin.

It is the latest scandal to rock the NRL, and comes just months after Bulldogs players were pictured stripping naked and vomiting in the street during their boozy Mad Monday celebrations.

Players and officials arrived at the popular bar in The Rocks, where they downed shots and beers before dancing nude on tabletops to the tune of Neil Diamond.

Photographs showed Bulldogs second rower Adam Elliott have his genitals grabbed by a teammate as others erupted in laughter.

Another player was pictured standing over his own vomit as he leaned on an industrial bin. Shortly after, he was seen laying motionless on a footpath.

Elliott, 24, and teammate Asipeli Fine, 26, pleaded guilty to obscenely exposing themselves in public.
