2020 Cadillac XT6 Shows Its Escala-Inspired Face Ahead Its Debut This Weekend

Cadillac is gearing up to introduce the 2020 XT6 this weekend and the company is starting things early by releasing the first teaser image of their three-row crossover.

Set to battle the all-new Lincoln Aviator, the XT6 features an Escala-like grille which is flanked by slender LED headlights. Further below, we can see large air intakes and vertical LED daytime running lights.

While the teaser image isn’t too revealing, previous spy photos have shown the crossover will have a rakish windscreen and a gently sloping roof. The model is also slated to feature vertical taillights and a stylish dual exhaust system.

The cabin will follow in the footsteps of the smaller XT5, but the XT6 will feature a revised dashboard which trades the upholstered fascia for more traditional trim. The crossover will also have a new infotainment system which can be accessed by a rotary controller similar to the one used in the XT4. Of course, the crossover’s biggest feature is a third-row of seats which will enable the XT6 to seat up to seven people.

Cadillac has been keeping details under wraps, but the XT6 is expected to ride on the long-wheelbase version of the C1XX architecture that underpins the Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse. Both of these models are available with a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 310 hp (231 kW / 314 PS) and 271 lb-ft (367 Nm) of torque. The engine is connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission which can be paired to an optional all-wheel drive system.

Considering the XT5 starts at $41,695, we can expect the XT6 to cost around $48,000. Regardless of final pricing, the model could arrive at dealerships as early as this spring.
