School principal held taking bribe
TNN | Jan 11, 2019, 04:10 ISTVadodara: A school principal in Dahod was nabbed red-handed by sleuths of the anti-corruption bureau while accepting bribe from a man wishing to start a seasonal hostel in the Garbada taluka of the district.
Principal Vipul Prajapati was approached by a man who wanted to start the hostel for four months under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. To start the hostel, the man needed an approval from Vipul Prajapati, the principal of the Mandir Faliya Primary School in Garbada taluka.
Prajapati agreed to provide the approval, but sought a bribe of Rs 20,000 from the man wanting to start the hostel. Not willing to give the bribe, the man approached the Anti-corruption bureau that registered a complaint based on the allegations.
On Wednesday, a trap was laid to nab Prajapati. The man went to hand over the bribe money to Prajapati who accepted it. ACB sleuths swooped down upon Prajapati in the presence of witnesses and nabbed him with the bribe amount.
