Plummeting night-time temperatures are giving the city residents a taste of the wintry chills, forcing them to scamper home early.
Against the increasing diurnal heat, the city is recording lower temperatures by the night.
The consecutive nights on Tuesday and Wednesday sent shivers across the region, with 10.9 degrees Celsius, which was four degrees lower than the normal on both days.
During the day, however, the maximum temperature recorded was between 29 and 30 degree Celsius, which is a departure on the higher side by zero to two degrees.
Both Tuesday and Wednesday witnessed rather early sunset at about 6 p.m., with mornings enveloped in fog till very late.
The Met Department predicts similar trend for the next three days, with day-time temperatures hovering around 29 degree Celsius, and night-time temperatures at 11 degrees Celsius.
