Perth man to face court over 'child locked in cage' claims
Police have charged a man just days after reports a nine-year-old boy was locked in a 'cage' at a Perth supermarket.
The incident happened on December 30 at Kelmscott IGA on Albany Highway.
It has been alleged the boy was locked in a storeroom after trying to steal to steal a bottle of Coke.
As a result of inquiries Armadale Police have charged a 41-year-old Karrinyup man with aggravated common assault and deprivation of liberty.
The man will be summonsed to appear in Armadale Magistrates Court at a later date.
Inquiries are continuing into the matter.
