A major fire broke out in a market in Kirti Nagar area of Delhi on late Thursday night. Many shops of a furniture market were caught in flames. More than 10 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire.

Visuals from the spot shared by news agency ANI show the entire area covered in massive flames. The photographs suggest that some shops near a railway line caught fire. Many of them appear to have been gutted.



Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far (2:47 am). Firefighting operations are underway.

The exact reason for the fire and the total damage suffered is not known yet.
