RAJKOT: Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) apprehanded three Indian fishing boats with 15 fishermen on board from near the International Maritime Border Line (IMBL) off the Jakhau coast in Kutch district early Wednesday morning.

“The three seized boats belonged to Porbandar. On Monday night, a boat named ‘Shub Vinayak’ from Porbandar, with five fishermen on board, was captured by the PMSA,” said Manish Lodhari, former president of Porbandar Fishermen’s Association.

On January 4, five fishermen from Porbandar were apprehended by PMSA claiming that they have crossed the IMBL.

The IMBL jurisdiction is a contentious issue between India and Pakistan. Fishermen from both the countries eyeing big catch often stray across the line.
