Fire breaks out at Croatian hydro power plant, at least 3 people injured SARAJEVO: A fire broke out at the 252-megawatt (MW) Dubrovnik hydro power plant in Plat, southern Croatia, leaving at least three workers injured on Thursday, a plant official told Reuters, adding that it was unclear what impact if any the fire had had on operations.

"Rescue services are on the site and the local fire brigades have been trying to put out the blaze," the official told Reuters by telephone.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.

The head of the nearby Dubrovnik hospital confirmed three people have been admitted with injuries, while local media reported that rescue services have been trying to reach three people who remain trapped inside the facility.
