Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, To develop in students an understanding that respect for rules is essential for conducting any discussion systematically and effectively, St. Paul School, Anand Nagar, Bhopal in collaboration with Pandit Kunjilal Dubey Sansadiya Vidyapeeth conducted a ‘Mock Parliamentary’ Session. Nearly 25 students of classes IX and XI participated in this event.
The chief guest for this occasion was Dr. Pratima Yadav, Director Sansadiya Vidyapeeth. The judges for the occasion were Shri Puneet Shrivastava, Director M.P. Vidhan Sabha Secretariat, Shri B.R Sharma under Secretary Govt. of M.P Parliamentary Affairs Dept., Shri N.K. Rajoria Deputy Director Sansadiya Vidyapeeth and Smt. Pratima Gendhar.
Our young and dynamic children discussed the National Issues like hike in petrol price, Swacch Bharat Abhiyan, Amritsar Rail Accident, Cyber Security, Increase in juvenile crime etc., on a large scale in a proper forum and in front of the experienced moderators. Dr. Pratima Yadav, the cheif guest of the day appreciated and encouraged the students by telling them an inspirational story.
The judges along with the school principal Fr. Sebi acknowledged and congratulated the students for their excellent execution and presentation. Fr. Sebi said it is indeed a learning experience for the youth because there is a difference between learning passively from books and learning actively by actually being a part of it. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Shibi Joseph, Mr. V.C. Jose, Ms. Moly Titus and Ms. Smitha Nair.
