Five except Vismay granted bail by HC

Vismay is out on bail in the Premchandnagar hit-and-run case
The Gujarat High Court on Wednesday granted regular bail to five accused, except Vismay Shah , in Adalaj booze party case. The court extended Shah's temporary bail and will decide on his plea for regular bail on January 11.
After nine days of judicial custody and three judges of Gujarat High Court recusing themselves from hearing his bail plea, Vismay Shah and five others were granted temporary bail in a booze party case on January 4. After conducting a hearing in length on Wednesday, five accused except Vismay got bail.
Vismay who is out on bail in the Premchandnagar hit-and-run case was caught along with his wife and four others from Balaji Kutir farmhouse in Adalaj on the wee hours of December 25.

Based on a tip-off, the Adalaj police and LCB raided house number 16 at Balaji Kutir in the wee hours of Wednesday. The group, including men and women, was found consuming liquor and puffing hookah near a bonfire set up near the swimming pool.
Besides Vismay and Pooja, police arrested Chinmay Patel (34), resident of Kankaria; Harshit Majumdar (35), resident of Paldi; Manthan Ganatra (30), resident of Satellite and Mimansha Buch (27), resident of Paldi. A Russian, Victoria Laiesha Vajimona (24), resident of Kankaria, was part of the group, but was let go as she had a valid liquor permit.

Vismay was convicted in 2015 and was handed 5-year imprisonment. He was granted bail by the Supreme Court after being denied bail by the trial court and the Gujarat High Court.
Last week, a local court had refused to let him go out of India on honeymoon. The Shahs live in Nehrunagar.
