A Queensland company has been inundated with orders for one of its houses that offers everything you could ever want for just over $58,000 - but there's a catch.

The affordable two-bedroom home called The Valentine comes complete with all the mod cons but was designed with one very special key feature for homeowners.

What makes this home so special is that it's delivered in a shipping container and unfolded in less time than it takes most people to put together an IKEA cupboard.

Anembo Affordable Homes director Steve Murray told Daily Mail Australia folding homes have become increasingly popular because of their ease and affordability.

'The homes are easy to install and are more comfortable and insulated compared to other relocatable homes such as caravans,' Mr Murray said.

The $58,200 Valentine folding house is delivered in a shipping container and can be assembled in less than three hours - with all essential add-ons taking up to one week.

'All the steel frames have numbers on them, it's like a big boy's Meccano set but with much better instructions from the engineers,' Mr Murray told The Courier Mail.

The director said the home offers everything homeowners could ever need but if they are looking for a little more bang for their buck there are other models.

'If people want longer term, we are doing the same price for another steel frame which is a bit more work to put together but still takes around three hours to get up.

He said the upgraded model called The Eirene featured improved features such as better windows, so everything is a bit nicer - and it still costs $58,200.

Mr Murry said the major difference between The Valentine and The Eirene is how it's assembled. Unlike the flatpack Valentine, The Eirene requires some expert assembly.

In addition to the 60 sqm Valentine and Eirene models for $58,200, homeowners can opt for a 75 sqm house for $72,000 or a grand 120 sqm home for $89,000.

The basic two-bedder comes with 12 aluminium alloy windows, fly screens, one small bathroom window, fireproof security front door and plywood flooring.

Homeowners can choose either laminate or vinyl coverings, and it comes with a full kitchen with cupboards, Caesarstone bench tops, and a fully equipped bathroom.

Mr Murray said everything from the flooring, to the skirting boards and cornices are included - plus engineering structural certifications to provide to local councils.

Power points, light switches and other essential fittings are also included - but it could cost up to $40,000 more if you require a licensed plumber and electrician.

'It depends on how much people can do themselves to save money,' Mr Murray said.
