District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner M. Dana Kishore informed that all the voters with claims and objections about their enrolment may approach the booth-level officers (BLOs) on January 20.
The BLOs will be present at the polling station on the said day, to receive the forms pertaining to claims and objections. The special campaign will also be taken up on January 22, 23 and 24 at all ward offices equipped with facilitation centres with operators, computers and internet connections. The Electoral Registration Officers should ensure that they visit all the undergraduate colleges in their jurisdiction and urge for enrolment of eligible students, Mr. Kishore said, at a meeting with political party representatives and EROs.
Already a special campaign is on up to January 11 at all the polling stations. Voter verification centres have been provided in 84 wards where the forms 6,7,8 and 8A will be made available for the convenience of the voters.
Drop boxes along with the forms will be provided at 11 big malls in the city, where the voters can fill the forms and drop in the boxes.
