Weet-Bix fans are fuming after Sanitarium slashed the size of family value packs by 300g and continuing to charge full price.
Family favourite 1.5kg boxes of Weet-Bix sold at Coles have dropped in size over the new year, with the supermarket shelves now stocked with 1.2kg boxes.
Many shoppers have been left puzzled as the price of the smaller box has remained the same.

Coles had exclusively sold the 1.5kg box for $5, while Woolworths was selling 1.2kg boxes for $4.
Now, just the 1.2kg value box is available and Coles and Woolworths have set the price at $5, despite the boxes being short 12 Weet-Bix.

A Woolworths spokesman told the Daily Mail it had 'reluctantly moved the shelf price of 1.2kg Weet-bix' as a result of a recent cost increase by Sanitarium.
When approached by the Daily Mail, a Coles spokeswoman directed questions to Sanitarium.
In a statement, Sanitarium said the price for 'things like energy and transport' had increased and as a result the price of Weet-Bix had gone up.
