Gujarat: 3-year-old girl sexually assaulted in Hazira

SURAT: Around 3-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by some unidentified person on Thursday in Hazira. The minor was found abandoned in bushes in evening with bleeding injuries. She was brought home by a local youth and later she was shifted to New Civil Hospital(NCH).

On late Thursday night police started the process to register a case of sexual assault and rape with the minor in Hazira police station after it was confirmed by doctors at NCH. Doctors found blood and sperm on body of the minor. She suffered injury in private parts and was admitted to hospital for treatment.

The minor was found around a kilometre away from her home in Hazira village. She was brought to her home by around 19-year-old teenager who informed the family members that some other youth brought the girl to him. The family then contacted 108 ambulance service and shifted the girl to hospital.

The girl went missing at around 3 pm while playing near home. The family realized that she is missing almost after an hour and they started searching for her. Meanwhile, at 5.30 the girl was brought to home by the youth in blood stained clothes.

Police have put up nakabandhi at various strategic locations in the city to nab the person involved in the crime.
