Devin Crosby's 3-pointer with 1:30 remaining gave Somerset Berkley the lead for good as the Raiders held off Dighton-Rehoboth for a 63-59 boys' basketball win Tuesday night.

Jake Meehan led Somerset Berkley with 20 points, while Ethan Dias added 15 and Liam McDonald chipped in with 12.

Somerset Berkley improved to 2-4 and travels to Bourne on Friday.

Durfee 57, Boston Latin Academy 56: The Hilltoppers, who led 44-28 after three quarters, survived a late rally by Boston Latin and improved to 5-3.

Nilin Nehra paced Durfee with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while AB Medrano added 10 points.

Durfee hosts Brockton on Friday.

Bishop Stang 90, Bishop Connolly 55: Cooper Creek led the Cougars with 23 points, but it wasn't early enough as Bishop Connolly was handed its first loss of the season and fell to 5-1.

Dame Perry, who became Bishop Stang's all-time leading scorer in the game, finished with 35 points.

Bourne 63, Case 48: The Cardinals came up short on the road to the Canalmen in this SCC matchup.

 

GIRLS' BASKETBALL

West Bridgewater 38, Diman 29: Ronnie Leapaga paced the Bengals with 10 points, while freshman Emma Medeiros added nine, but the Bengals fell to 3-3.

Diman hosts Bristol Aggie on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

Dighton-Rehoboth 54, Somerset Berkley 51: Jess Salamone led the Raiders with 15 points, but Somerset Berkley fell in this SCC matchup.

The Falcons outshot the Raiders 26-6 from the free throw line.

Bourne 52, Case 38: Jenna Zhang led the Cardinals with 13 points.

Case fell to 4-3 and travels to D-R on Friday.

 

BOYS' TRACK

Diman 89, Tri-County 6; Martha's Vineyard 68, Diman 32: Topher Frank earned a first-place finish in the 300 with a time of 39.5 seconds, while James Vacanti also took first in the 600 at 1:36.

Also finishing first for the Bengals (2-2) were Liam Mooney (12:10 in the 2-mile), Edwin Fuentes (7.0 in the 55 dash) and Cam Botelho (9.5 in the 55 hurdles).

 

GIRLS' TRACK

Diman 57, Tri-County 19; Martha's Vineyard 71, Diman 22: Shakyra Joseph and Lorelei Hetzler were both double winners for the Bengals, who improved to 2-3.

Joseph won the 55 dash (8.6) and the high jump (4-2), while Hetzler claimed the 1,000 (4:16) and the mile (7:05).

Kimberly Lajoie won the 300 in 49.9 seconds for Diman.

 

BOYS' SWIMMING

Bishop Stang 97, Middleboro/Whitman-Hanson 76: Drew Kelly won the 200 IM in 2:14.35, while teammate Liam Earl claimed the 50 freestyle in 25.11 as the Spartans improved to 5-0.

Also winning for the Spartans were Dmitry Gauntt (1:01.38 in the 100 butterfly), ZacLapalme (52.75 in the 100 freestyle), John Egger (5:32.78 in the 500 freestyle) and Patrick Clark (1:10.87 in the 100 breaststroke).

New Bedford 90, Durfee 69: At New Bedford, the Hilltoppers (1-5) received two first places from Jaden Souza (individual medley, 2:28.88; butterfly, 1:08.74) and single wins from Roman Mueller (backstroke, 1:12.19) and Benjamin Hankerson (breaststroke, 1:32.97).

 

GIRLS SWIMMING

Durfee 92, New Bedford 88: At New Bedford, the Hilltoppers 2-4) took first and third in the fial event, the 400 freestyle relay, to pull out this Big 3 Conference win.

Melia Bouramia, Abby Long, Mackenzie Reed and Jaelin Jang won 4:16.69) while Kaylin Sardinha, Hannah Ferreira, Hayden Levesque and Sara Carreiro (4:55.13) posted the critical third place.

Durfee also got wins from Jang (individual medley, 2:23.57; 500 freestyle, 5:39.71), Long (50 free, 27.32), Julianne Pazio (diving, 173.95), the 200 medley relay team of Sardinha, Carreiro, Reed, Bouramia (2:26.25) and the 200 free relay team of Long, Reed, Bouramia, Jang (1:52.42, sectional qualifying time).

Middleboro/Whitman-Hanson 99, Bishop Stang 84: Aili Ramsden won the 100 breaststroke in 1:23.98 and was part of the winning Bishop Stang 200 freestyle relay team (2:00.5), but the Spartans fell to 1-4.

Other members of the winning relay team were Margaret Swift, Sam Silva and Jenna Silva.

Jenna Silva also won the 100 butterfly in 1:10.50.
