Youth held for stalking, attacking BPharma student

GURUGRAM: A 23-year-old man was arrested on Monday evening for allegedly stalking and assaulting a 19-year-old BPharma student in Manesar.
According to the woman, Vishal, who she knew from Port Blair, had been stalking her from past few days and on Monday allegedly blocked her way near her college in Manesar.
As she tried to ignore him, he started misbehaving with her and started hitting her with his bag. Passerby came to her rescue and he fled from the spot.
An FIR was registered under sections 354D (stalking), 323 (causing hurt) of the IPC at women police station, Manesar on Monday evening.
“Vishal, a resident of Port Blair, told the us that he was in a relationship with the girl and had come to the city to meet her. He confessed to have attacked her on Monday outside her college in a fit of rage as she had misbehaved with him,” an officer said. “He was produced in a city court on Tuesday and sent to judicial custody”, said inspector Kanta Yadav, SHO of women’s police station.
