Birthday Greetings
Last week, a tweet by Emil Protalinski, the news editor of Venture Beat, caught our attention. Protalinski listed the big tech birthdays of 2019. What was interesting to note is the age of a few iconic brands – some in their teens, a few others in their twenties, and some, surprisingly, are mature enough to be called adults. So, we took this opportunity to ask a handful of adlanders to send pre-birthday wishes to some of these tech brands that have become close friends and confidantes, and a part of our daily lives, whether we like it or not.
From Dheeraj Sinha, managing director, Leo Burnett India and chief strategy officer, Leo Burnett, South Asia.
Hey, Google! What’s the official drinking age in Mumbai? Cheers, and welcome to adulthood in India.
Facebook you will turn 15 in less than a month, and you’ve already learnt to stalk?
Now, that you know how to handle trolling. Teenage can’t kill you, Twitter.
Stop arbitrarily deleting stuff all the time. Snapchat, you are eight years old now!
And I am still waiting for my Uber to arrive, (of course to get to the party).
(Before getting into the birthday mood) Can I know the real reason for the iPhone in Porsche Red colour?
From Shrenik Gandhi, chief executive officer and co-founder of White Rivers Media.
We just got a notification that you are turning 15 this year. Happy birthday, Facebook. *Inserts a birthday sticker* Be fair, don’t poke a lot! (You know what I mean)
This birthday, Uber, let’s party, let’s go out for a spin, carefree. Let's surge the happiness (and not what you tend to do every day).
An Apple a day, keeps your phone problems at bay. Happy birthday, hope the cake is full and not bitten.
Before this wish disappears, Snapchat let’s create a great story, discover something new. Let’s invite only our best friends, please.
Let us keep it short and to the point. #HappyBirthday, to the most trending social network of the year. (If you didn’t get it, I am talking about Twitter).
We Googled a lot of wishes but if you doodle it, it shall be the best.
Manish Bhatt, founder director, Scarecrow M&C Saatchi, shares an incident about his BFF, Google before the birthday toast.
Mandeep Malhotra, founding partner and CEO of The Social Street, has a few questions and observations for brands that make his life easy.
All girls in my life who had answers to all my questions (*read* mom, wife, daughter). Had a question for you; are you a lady, too? On this birthday more margaritas for you, Google.
Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Tell me Facebook how are you all,
Make the world seem so small
But tell the world I am happiest of all.
You have been snapping my chat for 8 years. Keep snapping (to infinity, maybe?)
Dear Apple, 43 is a great age. Trust me on that one. We both are reverse aging becoming slicker and sexier.
You are a decade old… or 10 years old… or 120 months old… or 3,650 days old… or 87,600 hours old… or 5256000 minutes old or 1010101010010101010 miles....God knows how many miles.....depending on the unit of measure you seem pretty young or pretty old. Hit the road again, mate.
Managing director of Kottaram Agro Foods, Prashant Parameswaran’s messages for the brands that gave him memorable moments.

Here’s to 43 years of making food look great in every frame, 43 years of thinking differently, 43 years of infinite imagination. Happy birthday, Apple!
