Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (IL&FS), which has invited expression of interest (EoI) for sale of road projects, said it had received 30 proposals. The last date for submission of EoIs was Tuesday.
“More than 30 expressions of interest were received for acquiring IL&FS’ interests in its domestic road vertical including its domestic EPC and O&M businesses,” the company said on Wednesday. “Interest has been received from a mix of strategic and financial players. Qualifying interested bidders will then be invited to review information on the business that would be shared with them, so as to enable them to submit commercial bids,” it added.
The troubled infrastructure developer and financier decided to monetise over 10,000 km of domestic road projects housed under its subsidiary, IL&FS Transportation Networks Ltd., and invited EoI on December 18, 2018.
