Started in 1985, the International Ice and Snow Festival at Harbin is celebrating 35th anniversary in China. The event spans over 6,00,000 square meters. Nearly 4 million cubic of ice have been used to built beautiful snow and ice buildings, sculptures and more. Sculptors from 12 different countries showcased their talent using ice from a near river and turned the place into a ice city. This is one of the world’s biggest snow festivals and will run till February. Harbin ( Northeast China) is also known as “ Ice City “(–16.8 °C) due to its freezing winter.
