Sub inspector Rajbir who was posted in sector 31 police station of Chandigarh fled away from CBI trap on january 4 after they tried to arrest him for taking bribe outside the scrap market in hallomajara. CBI officials presented him in the special CBI court at 2:00pm. He has been sent on three days police remand by the CBI court. As per sources, information, the CBI had set up a trap aftrller sita ram, a meat shop owner in Hallomajar had filed a complaint against the sub inspector that he had allegedly asked for Rs 15 thousand bribe for closing a old case lodged against a worker working at sita ram shop. The complaint had also alleged that the sub inspector had already taken Rs 5 thousand from him. On Friday, the sub inspector had gone to the scrap market in hallomajara to take last instalment of the money he had asked from the complaint, when he got suspicious about the trap and fled from the spot.
