'Ritika will be quite happy': Rohit Sharma playfully trolls Rishabh Pant, invites him to babysit daughter

Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant

It seems Rishabh Pant is in much demand right now and not only for his cricketing skills. Proud father Rohit Sharma on Wednesday has asked Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant to babysit his little daughter.

Rohit and his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, recently became proud parents to a baby girl Samaira. Rohit, who had missed the fourth and final Test against Australia in Sydney after the birth of his daughter, had to fly back Down Under on Monday. Rohit, along with MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav among others arrived in Sydney on Tuesday for the three-match ODI series which begins with the first ODI on January 12.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant is back in India after the Test series and that's why Rohit has 'asked' for his help. Replying to Pant's 'Good Morning' post on Twitter, the Hitman wrote, "Morning buddy. Heard you're a good baby sitter, need one right now. Ritika will be quite happy @RishabPant777."

During the Melbourne Test, when Australia captain Tim Paine offered Pant to babysit his kids during their sledging session, nobody would have ever thought that this could be true. The on-field banter was taken to another level by Paine's wife Bonnie as she posted a picture captioned "Best Babysitter" of the Indian wicket-keeper with her kids.

On the Australian soil, Pant ended the five-Test series as the second-highest run-scorer after Cheteshwar Pujara, notching 350 runs in seven innings. While behind the stumps, he broke the record for most catches (20) by an Indian wicket-keeper in a Test series.
