Kids Break Into CarMax Dealer, Play Demolition Derby, Wreck 20 Cars, Cause $800,000 Damages!

More than 20 vehicles were damaged this past weekend when four juveniles broke into a Houston area CarMax parking lot and began playing real-life bumper cars.

According to the Houston Chronicle, the kids got their hands on the dealership keys and proceeded to break into multiple cars before crashing them into various other vehicles in the lot. In total, they wrecked over 20 cars, causing $800,000’s worth of damages.

After arriving on location, authorities gave chase and quickly managed to apprehend the kids: “All four juveniles were arrested and booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center, charged with 1st degree felony criminal mischief,” stated Constable Mark Herman.

It was the dealership’s security company that called the police, after the kids were caught on cameras while breaking into the cars. Since all the felons were juveniles, their identities were not made public.

Any nice cars?

As a matter of fact, yes. Images courtesy of Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office reveal that a Corvette Z06, a red Porsche, a white Jaguar XE, a Mustang and a Scat Pack Challenger were among the victims. As you can see, some of them got off easier than others, like that Porsche. Then again, those $800,000 speak for themselves.

Hopefully those kids will end up learning a valuable lesson and won’t be revisiting this type of behavior in the future. As for the dealership, they might want to invest in better after-hours security.
