Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, BJP MLAs, workers and leaders, led by former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and State BJP President Rakesh Singh took part in recital of National Song Vande Mataram in front of Mantralaya on Monday.
On this occasion ex-CM Chouhan said the Congress had discontinued recitation of Vande Matram which is wrong. He said it will make no difference if Government has banned recital of Vande Mataram but BJP MLAs and activists will recite it on January 7. Chouhan said that governments come and go but nation and patriotism is beyond all.
Party State President Rakesh Singh said state government had banned recital of Vande Mataram consequently mass recital of National Song was not done in front of Mantralaya on first day of January. He said that nation and national spirit is supreme, nothing is beyond it. Vande Mataram is not only a song but synonyms of devotion towards nation.
Earlier Shivraj appealed to people through Twitter to recite Vande Matram and make it live on their social media account.
Among those present on the occasion included state vice president Vijesh Lunawat, Vinod Gotiya, Arvind Bhadoriya, Usha Thakur, Rameshwar Sharma, Jeetu Jirati, state general secretary and MLA Manohar Untwal, Banshilal Gurjar, secretary and MLA Krishna Gaur, former minister Narottam Mishra, Bhupendra Singh, former Assembly Speaker Sitasharan Sharma, Mayor Alok Sharma and BJP district president Surendra Nath Singh.
