TAUNTON — District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III has announced arrests in the stabbing death of Justin Paulo.

Jerome Middleton, 29, of Fall River, was arrested in Brockton at approximately 11 a.m. today on charges of murder and armed robbery.

Khaylon Cruz, 24, New Bedford, was also arrested on murder and armed robbery charges at the Dartmouth Inn in New Bedford at approximately 8:30 a.m. today.

The victim, identified as 31-year-old Justin Paulo of Taunton, was stabbed at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, and died of those injuries on Sunday, Jan. 6, at Rhode Island Hospital, according to the DA's office.

It also appears that a firearm was used during the incident by the suspects and the victim’s personal property was stolen, the DA's office said.

Both defendants will be arraigned in Taunton District Court either this afternoon or Wednesday morning.
