Helmet and road safety awareness ride on January 12

Pune: A helmet and road safety awareness ride will be organised on Saturday by ZehnX Innovation Pvt Ltd and Premier group in association with Pune police. The ride will start from 6 different locations in Pune and will end at Pune police parade ground in Shivajinagar. 
 
The ride will be based on 10x values namely; wear a helmet, keep vehicle documents safely, no over speeding, carry license, no honking, vehicle maintenance, no drinking and driving, bikes are meant for two, get PUC and follow traffic signals. On the way, there will be various awareness activities about the driving rules and regulations. Registration is free for all. 

Pune Police Commissioner Dr K Venkatesham said, “Every year, we have fatal accidents in Pune. Unfortunately, Pune leads in Maharashtra and Maharashtra leads in the country. And on analysing the control room data, we had many calls this year so far regarding fatal accidents making this a matter of grave concern.”
