Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Fires Back at Columnist for Comparing Her to Sarah Palin

Newly elected representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez fired back at Washington Post columnist Max Boot for comparing her to former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.??????Boot wrote an article critical of Ocasio-Cortez in the post and on Twitter saying in part, “Ocasio-Cortez reminds me of Sarah Palin, another talented young communicator who made a big splash in national politics before having her lack of knowledge painfully exposed.”??????The congresswoman responded by saying, “Naturally, the same week we kick-start a nat’l convo on marginal tax rates endorsed by Nobel-Prize winning economists, I’m being described as “vacuous.”??????Then calling Boot’s comments “resentful,” and in another tweet saying “Let’s refocus our energy and coverage to policies instead of personality.”????Ocasio-Cortez then said in reference to the US Mexico border wall, that President Trump is trying to build a monument to himself on the southern border.??????In a stunning upset, Ocasio-Cortez defeated 10-term congressman Joe Crowley in New York’s 14th district.??????Since then, Ocasio-Cortez has gained a huge following on twitter, having only 250 followers to now more than 2.18 million.??
