HP's revamped Omen 15 laptop packs GeForce RTX graphics and a ludicrously fast 240Hz display

HP is kicking 2019 off strong with an updated HP Omen 15. This sleek gaming laptop features a 15-inch 1080p G-Sync TN panel that cranks it all the way up to 240Hz, a ludicrously fast refresh rate that should satisfy even the most diehard twitch shooter enthusiasts. In the configuration we saw, the new Omen 15 came rocking the 2.2GHz, six-core, Intel "Coffee Lake" Core i7-8750H, 16GB of RAM, and (as we later learned) an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q graphics card for ray tracing on the go.

The physical design isn't all that different from the Omen 15 update that shipped in mid-2018, though HP did tweak the current look by putting all the ports on the rear of the machine. That gets your wires out of the way to give your mouse more room to roam.

There's no official release date yet for this configuration of the HP Omen 15, but when it does roll out this year, prices will start at $1,369.
