Anyone with an interest in American football may have heard of Michael Dickson, but there is another young Australian player making a big impression during his debut season.
Cam Johnston stole the spotlight for a brief moment during the Philadelphia Eagles miraculous one point victory over the Chicago Bears on Monday thanks to a brilliant punt.
The Bears had the Eagles firmly pinned in defending territory when the ball was fed to Johnston, who delivered a precision kick to the opposition 22 yard line – gaining a valuable 53 yards.

The 26-year-old played college football for Ohio State after briefly attempting a career at home in the AFL and was signed to the Philadelphia Eagles last year as an undrafted free agent
While it is usual in NFL for punters to kick the ball as high as possible, Johnston opted for a low kick out-of-bounds, forcing the Bears to play the ball close to their end zone.
The punt caught the eye of Prokick Australia, an academy Johnston formerly attended that feeds hopeful Australian players into the NFL.
'Great kick by @Cam_Johnston and why the punting in the NFL is changing. Not every ball needs hang time. Not every ball needs to be caught by the PR. Aussie, low, cross field kick away from the PR. On Purpose,' Prokick tweeted.
His moment may have been overshadowed by the game's nailbiting finish, during which Bears kicker Cody Parkey hit the upright on what would have been a match winning field goal, but it was still nonetheless brilliant.
