ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Family and friends gathered for an emotional farewell on Tuesday to say goodbye to 7-year-old Jazmine Barnes who was killed in a drive-by shooting in Houston.
Police charged 20-year-old Eric Black Jr. with capital murder in Barnes' death.
Authorities say Black admitted to driving the getaway car in the driveby shooting that left the girl dead -- a case that sparked widespread attention and a nationwide manhunt.
Barnes was in a car with her mom and three sisters heading to a store in Houston the morning of December 30th when a gunman opened fire, shooting Barnes in the head.
A tipster identified Black as the driver and another man in the passenger seat as the gunman.
Police say the shooting may have been a case of mistaken identity.
Authorities do not think the girl's family was the intended target.
