Police have taken a driver into custody after they were found to be driving dangerously north of Perth.

Police originally warned the public to avoid the vehicle, which was allegedly involved in a series of incidents on Tuesday morning.

"The vehicle is believed to be damaged, and is being driven in a dangerous and reckless manner," a police spokesman said.

Police located the car just before 11am near Goomalling and the driver was taken into custody.

A police spokesman confirmed the car was involved in a police pursuit on Tuesday morning, however, the driver failed to stop and officers ended the pursuit.
