A young woman called her own mother a 'dog' and told her to 'f**k off' during a public screaming match after she was caught drink driving more than twice the legal limit, a court has heard.

Sunshine Coast mother-of-two Zoe Maree Hatch, 26, appeared in Caloundra Magistrates Court on Tuesday, charged with public nuisance and drink driving in relation to the ugly altercation last September.

Neighbours called police after the verbal altercation between Hatch and her mother spilled into the street at Beerwah, Sunshine Coast Daily reported.

The court heard that when police pulled over Hatch near her home, she unleashed an explosive tirade against her mother, despite being warned by police about her language.

She was breath tested and returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.107.

Hatch confessed to drinking a four pack of Jim Beam bourbon before she got behind the wheel, the publication reported.

Hatch first appeared in court in relation to the incident last October, where she pleaded guilty to both charges and agreed to complete the Time For Change safe drivers course.

But when she reappeared in court this week, Hatch admitted she's yet to fulfill requirements as she's been forced to find housing for herself and her children after their home burnt down late last year, Sunshine Coast Daily reported.

The court was also told that Hatch had been dealt with for drink driving in Hervey Bay just one month prior to the most recent charges.

Her licence already suspended, Hatch was disqualified for a further four months this week.

The magistrate also fined Hatch $850 and recorded convictions against her.
